THE GATHERING: Dutch Show To Be Webcast

February 25, 2004

THE GATHERING's semi-acoustic show at Paradiso in Amsterdam, Holland on March 2 will be broadcast live on the Internet via Fabchannel.com. Fabchannel.com is the streaming video portal of Paradiso Amsterdam. This gives the opportunity to THE GATHERING fans all over the globe to watch the show of their favorite band. Viewing/registration is free for the user at home.

In other news, THE GATHERING will compose music for the Amsterdam film academy graduation film, "The Quiet One" by Danyael Sugawara. "The Quiet One" is a complete Japanese film "about a boy Kiyoshi (18) who lives in total isolation from the outside world in his parents' kitchen," according to the band's newsletter. "Nobody else but his little sister Nozomi can get in contact with Kiyoshi. Through the internet he speaks to other teenagers about his interests drumming, sex, games, movies, life and...death. 'The Quiet One' tells the story about the phenomenon 'Hikikomori', [which finds] Japanese teenagers isolating themselves from the outside world and locking themselves in their room with no other contact than the worldwide Internet. 'The Quiet One' will go in premiere during summer 2004 and besides competing for several movie festivals will also be broadcasted on Dutch VPRO TV."

On the live front, just a week prior to the start of THE GATHERING's "Sleepy Buildings - A Semi Acoustic Evening" European tour, the first few dates are sold out and THE GATHERING shows are currently listed in the Top 10 best-selling concerts at the German www.metaltix.de ticket hotline.
